Topic: Fun facts about bees
Description: The project day was performed in Park Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We divided pupils in groups and gave them four “fun facts” and one “yes or no and why?” card. Pupils had to distinguish if it is True or False and why. Also for fun facts, they had to describe why based on scientific books.
Some examples:
FUN FACT 1: Being old is not good for her.
FUN FACT 2: After mating they die.
FUN FACT 3: Long living is not for everyone.
FUN FACT 4: Sting is not for everyone.
1 YES OR NO AND WHY?
When bees sense smoke, they instinctively first feed themselves.
2 YES OR NO AND WHY?
Bees are pollinating all over the world.
3 YES OR NO AND WHY?
It is hard to find real honey.
4 YES OR NO AND WHY?
Urban honey is less polluted than countryside honey.
